Founded in 2008, Kokan Bazar is a purpose-driven platform dedicated to bringing authentic Konkan food and ingredients from rural communities to conscious consumers. Rooted in tradition and built on trust, we work closely with local producers—especially women-led self-help groups—to create sustainable livelihoods through ethical sourcing and fair practices.
Founder of Kokan Bazar (2008), Nayan Khadapkar is a TISS alumna and social entrepreneur committed to women’s empowerment and community-led growth. Her work across Konkan has created sustainable livelihoods through self-help groups and authentic, ethical food production.
A psychologist by profession, Devika Khadapkar is an alumna of Manchester Business School and brings expertise in leadership development, coaching, and organizational transformation. She works closely with women entrepreneurs in Konkan and leads Kokan Bazar’s vision to expand beyond Mumbai to a global audience.
